They say every flower has a story, and this is mine.
For the past five years, I’ve carried a dream in my heart—a vision shaped by wild landscapes, winding roads, and the deep-rooted belief that beauty is meant to be shared. Sticks & Stones Co. isn’t just a flower shop. It’s my love letter to the San Juan Mountains, to Ridgway, to Telluride, to Ouray—and to anyone who knows a little bit of nature can change your whole day.
From Denver to Seattle and Back Again
The universe has a funny way of nudging you toward where you’re meant to be. My path took me from Denver’s hustle to Seattle’s treasured landscapes, and finally—by choice, not chance—back to Colorado.
The Southwest mountains called with their wild magic, their untamed beauty, and that unmistakable promise of community. This is where I found my muses (Pedro & Wrye, this one’s for you), and the spark to build something lasting.
All In: Heart, Hands, and Home
This business is, without question, my main character moment.
I’m pouring everything into Sticks & Stones Co.—every ounce of creative energy, every lesson from 25+ years in estate landscape management and construction, and 15+ years in floral event design, and every hope for what a mountain town can grow when people show up for each other.
Flowers are my medium. Connection is the mission.
Let’s Get Our Hands Dirty (Literally)
There’s something special about mountain towns. We look out for each other. We roll up our sleeves. We know the best things grow from the ground up.
Whether you’re a local, a visitor, or just flower-curious, I’d love for you to be part of this. Let’s get our hands dirty, make something beautiful, and celebrate the wild spirit of Ridgway, Telluride, and Ouray together.
Why Flowers?
Flowers are more than pretty petals. They’re memories. Milestones. Apologies. Celebrations. “I saw this and thought of you.”
With every arrangement, I’m trying to bring a piece of the mountains into your home, your business, and your gatherings—artful, seasonal, and a little bit wild.
This is a business built on love, artistry, and the belief that we’re all in this together.
Let’s grow something beautiful—one bloom, one bouquet, one story at a time.
With wild gratitude,
Kristina
